Drawing & Watercolour Foundations | Term 1

Learn classical drawing and watercolour skills with award winning painter Pilar de la Torre, who has a deep passion for sharing her skills and insights with her many students.

This beginner program gives participants a solid foundation in this beautiful and delicate medium while offering an accessible approach to building drawing skills.

Over the course of this program students will learn:

• Observational drawing.
• The use of different drawing media.
• An understanding of tone, form, perspective and composition.
• How to best set up and utilise watercolour paints.

Students will draw and paint from a variety of references that may include:

• Still Life Set Ups
• Master drawings and paintings
• Life Models
• Landscape paintings & photographs

This class is perfect for beginners and novice artists who are interested in the flow of this medium.  Experienced painters who have not studied watercolours, are welcome to attend this course as well.
