Drawing from observation, students will work from a themed still life set up, the landscape and from a clothed life model. Students will be taught measuring techniques to accurately depict what they see, they will learn about perspective and composition and will be introduced to a range of drawing media such as pencil, charcoal, fine liner, and ink.

Drawing from observation, students will work from a themed still life set up, the landscape and from a clothed life model. Students will be taught measuring techniques to accurately depict what they see, they will learn about perspective and composition and will be introduced to a range of drawing media such as pencil, charcoal, fine liner, and ink.
Students may work from a selection of the following sources: still life, landscape, photographs which will be provided by the studio.
Lead by Elsie Preston, in this workshop students ages (12+) will develop their observational drawing skills to develop a series of both classical and contemporary resolved works. Our goal is that over time, participants will be able to effortlessly draw portraits, still life, figures and landscapes with relative ease and an informed approach. This workshop is open to students aged 12 and over.
