Workshop details

Access your “raw visual language” that emerges through colour, texture, shape and personal narrative.

Unleash your creativity in this workshop, where rules are left behind. Through intuitive mark making and the play of light and shadow, discover the hidden messages within your art. Explore the depths of your subconscious and express what lies beneath the surface. Ideal for both beginners and experienced painters.

Tennessee Charpentier, born and raised in Amiens, France, discovered her natural creative talent at a young age. Encouraged to explore her artistic abilities, she pursued her passion and was admitted to the prestigious ESAG Penninghen in Paris. There, she excelled in her studies and earned her Masters Degree in Graphic Design. Upon completing her education, Tennessee was presented with an opportunity to enter the fashion scene in Paris as an Art Director. However, instead of following the traditional path, she decided to embark on a journey of exploration, seeking inspiration and diversity in countries like Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Immersing herself in the local music and arts scene, Tennessee found herself deeply inspired. She began combining her formal training in graphic design with visionary art, surrealism, and symbolism, resulting in her unique and distinctive artistic style.

During this workshop we will take a look at what makes non-figurative art powerful including scale, composition, mark making, colour and texture. Excellent for all levels of art making experience and for people who feel stuck in their creative process.
