Introduction to Oil Painting

If you' have never picked up a paintbrush before or it has been a long time since, no problem! Our experienced tutor and exhibiting artist Pilar de la Torre  will guide you through each step towards understanding this beautiful and traditional art medium, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported throughout the workshop.

During the class, you'll learn how to handle oil paints and related materials, how to mix and understand colour as well as being introduced to proportion and composition.

• Oil painting mediums.
• Painting surface for project (either canvas, canvas paper or MDF board).
• Printed images from which you will work.
• Brushes
• Easels, tables and other necessary materials.
