From Classical to Contemporary: Painting Exploration for Teens

In this specialized course led by Elsie Preston, an accomplished emerging Melbourne artist with a diverse artistic background, students will immerse themselves in a variety of painting techniques. Under Elsie's guidance, participants will hone their skills in using acrylic and oil paints safely to create sophisticated artworks influenced by art history, techniques of Master Artists, technical processes, and personal expression.

Beyond practical skills, this program fosters a deep appreciation for art history, enabling students to grasp the intricacies of artistic traditions. By emphasizing personal expression through classical and contemporary painting methods, students can develop their unique artistic voice and style.

Recommended for aspiring artists, this program offers a valuable opportunity to build a strong portfolio and lay a solid foundation for a future career in the arts. Participants will benefit from a transformative experience that nurtures their creativity and artistic growth.
Please be aware that this class runs for 2.5 hours to give students the appropriate time to immerse themselves in the nature of the projects that we run.

• We invite students to arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to the start of class.
• Materials may stain or ruin clothing and we do not take responsibility for damage to clothing.
• Students are offered one make up class per term which must be pre booked to match the missed class. Please contact us to arrange your make-up class.
